Ticket worth $42.5 million purchased in Tell City; Hoosier Lottery players should check their tickets.
A small Indiana town is experiencing some big excitement as a ticket for the fourth-largest Hoosier Lotto® jackpot in game history was sold in Tell City for Wednesday's drawing.
Before the $42.5 million Hoosier Lotto jackpot was won last night, the jackpot game ranked as the highest state lottery jackpot and third-largest U.S. jackpot, behind only Powerball® and Mega Millions®.
The $42.5 million winning ticket was purchased at On the Fly #822 located at 1448 12th St. in Tell City.
The winning Hoosier Lotto numbers for Wednesday, March 12, are: 10-16-24-33-39-46. Players can check their tickets with the free Hoosier Lottery Mobile App by downloading here.
"Congratulations to our newest Hoosier Lotto jackpot millionaire," said Hoosier Lottery Executive Director Sarah M. Taylor. "Since its first drawing in 1990, Hoosier Lotto has remained Indiana's hometown favorite jackpot game."
Wednesday's jackpot was only the fifth time in Hoosier Lotto history that the jackpot has topped $40 million. The largest Hoosier Lotto jackpot win occurred on Nov. 7, 2007, and was worth an estimated $54.5 million. The most recent Hoosier Lotto jackpot win occurred on Dec. 6, 2023, and was worth an estimated $44 million. The winning ticket was purchased at Lucky's Mart in Speedway.
Players can purchase a $2 Hoosier Lotto ticket at any participating retailer. Players also can add +PLUS for $1 for a chance to win $1 million or other prizes in a second drawing that occurs immediately after the Hoosier Lotto drawing.
The Hoosier Lotto jackpot for Saturday, March 15, is an estimated $1 million. Players have until 10:39 p.m., ET, to get their tickets for the 11 p.m., ET, drawing.
