Karen Terrell of Indianapolis works in cancer care and outreach. She occasionally likes to play Hoosier Lottery Draw games to add some fun to her day. When Karen and her husband were visiting her mother in Elkhart, her husband mentioned that the Mega Millions® jackpot was at $800 million.

"Wow," said Karen. "I'm going to go buy tickets right now."

The next morning, when her husband checked online, he saw that someone had won the Mega Millions jackpot. Karen grabbed her tickets, and they began checking her numbers. When they realized Karen had matched four out of five numbers, she exclaimed, "That can't be right!"

They examined the ticket again and were delighted to see that Karen had indeed matched four of the numbers and won $10,000.

They shared the news with Karen's mom, who was very excited for them.

Karen plans to use her winnings to pay some bills.
