WINNER TAKE ALL
"I won!" Marion man says magic words
Lottery winners often report that one of the most fun things about winning is sharing their exciting, and often life-changing, news with loved ones. Getting to say the words "I won the lottery!" is something most people dream about.
That was exactly the case with Terry Randolph of Marion. After Randolph scratched off a $150,000 top-prize winning Winner Take All ticket in the parking lot of a Marion Village Pantry, he wasted no time running home to tell his wife, Sheila, the good news!
"I was yelling 'Sheila, I won! I won $150,000!'" said Randolph.
Sheila Randolph reacted the way most friends and family members react when a loved one starts frantically shouting the big news. First she thought something was horribly wrong. Then she assumed Terry was joking and didn't believe him. Eventually Sheila Randolph came around, but it took a serious inspection of the ticket.
"Money's been so tight the last year," said Sheila Randolph. "This'll help out a lot."
