Retired teacher experiences another Hoosier Lottery benefit
Susan Yeakle of Boca Raton, Fla., is an Indianapolis native living in Florida. As a retired Indiana teacher, Susan is no stranger to the benefits provided annually by the Hoosier Lottery to the citizens of Indiana. Susan is a beneficiary of the Hoosier Lottery's support of the pension funds for retired teachers, police officers and firefighters. Now, thanks to Mega Millions®, she is familiar with being a big Hoosier Lottery winner, too. Susan matched the first five numbers, but not the Megaball® number, in the July 13 Mega Millions drawing and won $250,000! Yeakle already receives retirement benefits as a result of the annual net income produced by the Hoosier Lottery and said she is “thankful for the opportunity” to supplement her teacher’s retirement with her own winnings. Yeakle compared the excitement of winning to Christmas Eve. She says she plans to use her winnings to make some upgrades to her condo in Florida, but hopes to bank most of it for a rainy day.
