Valparaiso steel worker scores $250,000 win playing Mega Millions
When you work as hard as Ron Crowe does, days off are few and far between. It has to be a pretty special occasion to justify taking one, and when you do, you had better make the most of it. For Crowe, who is a steel worker from Valparaiso, Ind., Tuesday met all the right criteria after he discovered Monday night that he was holding a winning Mega Millions® ticket worth$250,000.He took Tuesday off, drove to Indianapolis with his son, Nick, and claimed his winnings at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters. “We work hard – both me and my wife. We never take a day off,” said Crowe. “We work a lot of 16-hour days and 80-hour weeks. But, I figured I could afford to take one day off for this.” Read more of Ron's story here.
