Lottery win means new Harley for Osceola man
Rick Taber of Osceola is the latest lucky Hoosier to claim big money on a Hoosier Lottery Scratch-off. The St. Joseph County man claimed $100,000 on a ticket he purchased back in July – on July 11, 2011 – or 7/11/11 – to be exact! Taber said he always believed that if he was ever going to win, he expected to win on a date with lucky numbers like “7” and “11”. Even so, he said he was shocked when he actually won on 7/11. He was so shocked, he used a magnifying glass to check, double-check and triple-check the ticket for several days. Taber is a 30-year veteran water-well driller in his family business. He says he plans to purchase a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle with his winnings. Read more here.
