Columbus grandmother claims $1,000 after her first time playing $5,000 A Week Cash For Life.
Marcia is not new to playing the Hoosier Lottery. In addition to buying her regular $5 tickets, every two weeks she usually adds money to a lottery pool with her coworkers at Brownstown Central High School.
She was at the Circle K, at 107 W Commerce Dr., Brownstown to get gas when she decided she wanted to buy some tickets and try something different from her regular $5 tickets. Marcia went out on a limb and tried a game she had never played before: $5,000 A Week Cash for Life, a $10 ticket. She bought two of them and won $10 on one and $1,000 on the other.
Once she saw how much she had won in the store, she put that ticket in her purse and headed straight home.
“I wanted to keep it safe,” Marcia said.
She intends to save this money and have a beautiful Christmas for her five grandchildren.
