WILD CHERRY CROSSWORD
Morning pop stop pays off for Indy woman
An Indianapolis woman got more than she bargained for when she made her morning pop and cereal bar stop at an Indianapolis Village Pantry Tuesday. Keri Hemphill unknowingly purchased a $50,000 winning Hoosier Lottery scratch-off ticket yesterday. She walked around all day with the unscratched $50,000 winning ticket in her purse. When she finally scratched the ticket late Tuesday night she couldn’t believe her luck. After checking the ticket several times she was still hesitant to believe it was a big winner, so she called in reinforcements to double check the ticket. Even after two friends studied the ticket and agreed that it looked like a $50,000 winner, she was still in disbelief. “I can’t tell you how many times I checked that ticket. I even memorized the 10 words I got!” said Hemphill. Read the rest of Keri's story here.
