Retired IPS educator wins $1 million
After winning $1 million on a Hoosier Lottery Scratch-off, Gerald Ladd says he plans to continue doing the same thing he’s always done. The level-headed Ladd and his wife, Patricia, are retired from Indianapolis Public Schools where Gerald was an education coordinator and Patricia was a teacher for more than 20 years. The Ladds are lifelong Indianapolis residents with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren between them. Ladd said it simply isn’t in his nature to spend the money frivolously. “I’ll just keep rolling,” said Ladd. “This won’t change what I believe in.” Read more of Gerald's story here.
