“Blessed” co-workers split $1 million Powerball® prize
The winners of the $1 million prize from Saturday night’s Powerball drawing wasted no time claiming their prize. A group of five female co-workers at a local medical claims office were at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters bright and early this morning to claim their winnings.
The lucky ladies presented Lottery officials with a winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million and split the winnings five ways. Tracy Williams, Vivian Nickleson, Denyse Tyson, Michelle Smith and Yolanda Mohid each walked out with $200,000 before taxes.
Williams purchased the group’s winning ticket at Speedway at 8101 E. 21st Street. If that address sounds familiar it is because it is the same retailer that recently sold a $9.5 million Hoosier Lotto ticket.
The lucky ladies all hail from Indianapolis and opted to call their group “Blessed.” They were all smiles as they talked and laughed about what they plan to do with their winnings. All five winners say they plan to make donations to their churches. Four of the ladies are hoping to take a trip together.
“We’re going to Disney World as a group,” said Smith.
“Or maybe Vegas and keep the streak going!” added Mohid with a laugh.
