JAMES BOND LOTTERY CHALLENGE OFFICIAL CONTEST DETAILS
For the official PDF, please click here.

The JAMES BOND Lottery Challenge promotion (the "Contest”) is an experience produced by Scientific Games ("SG”) in connection with participating state lotteries (“Lotteries” or “Lottery”). Trip Prize winners (the “Finalists”) are randomly selected by participating Lotteries per individual state Lottery rules. The total number of Finalists depends upon Lottery participation levels. Each Finalist will receive a Lottery-sponsored trip to Las Vegas to play a non-broadcast, lottery-winners-only series of games (collectively, the “Game”) for the chance to win cash prizes ranging from $2,000 to a potential maximum of $1,156,000. By participating in the Contest, each Finalist agrees that all decisions regarding the Contest are made at the sole and exclusive discretion of SG and are final and binding on all Finalists.

To participate in the Contest, eligible participating Lottery ticket holders must:

Enter the Contest through the participating Lottery’s promotional, second-chance website/app following all entry rules established by the participating Lottery, be randomly selected by the participating Lottery in one (1) or more drawings from among all eligible entries received during the official entry periods and meet all participating Lottery selection and prize validation requirements. (See participating Lottery website for official entry and drawing rules.)

The Contest will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on or about Spring of 2021. The specific date and location of the Contest is subject to change and shall be posted on the Lottery’s website no later than March 31, 2020.

Each Finalist randomly selected to participate in the Contest shall play the Game for cash prizes of up to $1,156,000 as described more fully below.

The Game consists of two events. The first is a Stage Show Event consisting of four separate mini-games (collectively, the “Stage Show”) and the second is a Bonus Event (the “Tournament”) in which each Finalist will accumulate points.

EVENT #1: Stage Show

The Stage Show will take place during the trip period, but on a different day from the day of the Tournament.

Each Finalist plays in the Stage Show, consisting of four (4) Rounds (each a “ROUND”). Each ROUND features one (1) of four (4) separate Mini-Games.
Each Finalist will play each of the four (4) Mini-Games.
Each Mini-Game is played separately.

The Mini-Games are as follows:
1) ROUND 1: “Casino Royale” is a high/low card game with cash prizes of up to $1,000;
2) ROUND 2: “Shaken, Not Stirred” is a dice game with prizes of up to $5,000.
3) ROUND 3: “Diamonds are Forever” is a wheel spin game with prizes of up to $50,000; and
4) ROUND 4: “Goldfinger” is a match three game with prizes of up to $1,000,000.

ROUND 1: Casino Royale

Casino Royale is played using a standard deck of fifty-two (52) playing cards, plus one (1) VILLAIN card and one (1) JAMES BOND card.

The cards are ranked in value from high to low as follows: Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.

During any WAGER Stage, if the card revealed results in a tie, the card is removed with no penalty and play continues.

Prizes range from $0 to $1,000.
All wagers are made in increments of $50. Each Finalist starts with a $250 BANKROLL. ROUND 1 includes two (2) stages.

Stage 1:

  1. The game begins by displaying the first playing card in the deck (BASE CARD).

    1. The Finalist is given one chance to replace the BASE CARD with the next card in the deck.

    2. If the VILLAIN card is revealed during the BASE CARD selection, the BANKROLL is reduced by $25 and the next card is revealed as the new BASE CARD.

    3. If the JAMES BOND card is revealed during the BASE CARD selection, the Finalist wins $750 and that amount is added to the BANKROLL and the game ends.

  2. After a BASE CARD is established, the Finalist is asked to wager up to $250 in increments of $50 or to FREEZE.

    a. If the Finalist elects to FREEZE, the game ends and the Finalist wins the BANKROLL. b. If the Finalist elects to play, he or she announces a WAGER in increments of $50 and

declares whether the next card revealed will be “higher” or “lower” than the BASE

    CARD.
    c. If the VILLAIN card is revealed, the WAGER is reduced by $25 and the next card is

    revealed.
    d. If the BOND card is revealed, the WAGER is automatically added to the Finalist’s

BANKROLL, the next card is revealed becoming the new BASE CARD and he or she advances to Stage 2.

i. If the new BASE CARD is the VILLAIN card, the BANKROLL is reduced by $25 and the Finalist advances to Stage 2.

e. If the Finalist’s “high/low” guess is incorrect, the amount of the WAGER is deducted from his or her BANKROLL, the game ends and the Finalist wins the remaining BANKROLL, if any.

f. If the Finalist’s “high/low” guess is correct, the amount of the WAGER is added to the Finalist’s BANKROLL and he or she advances to Stage 2.

Stage 2:
1. The last card revealed in Stage 1 serves as the new BASE CARD in Stage 2.

2. The Finalist is asked to wager a minimum of $50 up to his or her maximum BANKROLL or to FREEZE.

  1. If the Finalist elects to FREEZE, the game ends and the Finalist wins the BANKROLL.

  2. If the Finalist elects to play, he or she announces a WAGER in increments of $50 and

declares whether the next card revealed will be “higher” or “lower” than the new BASE

    CARD.

  3. If the VILLAIN card is revealed, the WAGER is reduced by $25 and the next card is

    revealed.

  4. If the BOND card is revealed, the WAGER is automatically added to the Finalist’s

    BANKROLL and the game ends.

  5. If the Finalist’s “high/low” guess is incorrect, the amount of the WAGER is deducted

from his or her BANKROLL, the game ends and the Finalist wins the remaining

    BANKROLL, if any.

  6. If the Finalist’s “high/low” guess is correct, the amount of the WAGER is added to the

Finalist’s BANKROLL and the game ends.

ROUND 2: Shaken, Not Stirred

Shaken, Not Stirred will be played using two (2) identical envelopes and one six (6) sided die. One of the two (2) envelopes contains $100 and the other contains $200.

Two (2) sides of the die contain a 5X JAMES BOND multiplier, two (2) sides contain a 2X JAMES BOND multiplier and two (2) sides contain the word VILLAIN, which equates to a one-half (1⁄2 X) multiplier.

Prizes range from $25 to $5,000.

ROUND 2 includes three (3) stages.

Stage 1:
1. In Stage 1, the Finalist will randomly select one (1) of two (2) envelopes.

  1. The envelope will be opened by the host and the contents ($100 or $200) revealed to the Finalist.

  2. The amount revealed becomes the Finalist’s BANKROLL for this ROUND.

Stage 2:
1. In Stage 2, the Finalist will be given the choice of keeping the BANKROLL accumulated in Stage 1

or rolling the die.
a. If the Finalist elects to keep the BANKROLL accumulated in Stage 1, the game ends. b. If the Finalist elects to continue play, the Finalist will roll the die.
c. If the die comes to a rest with the 2X or 5X JAMES BOND Multiplier face up, the prize

amount won in Stage 1 is multiplied by that amount and the game continues to Stage 3. d. If the die comes to rest with the VILLAIN face up, the Finalist loses one-half of his or her

accumulated BANKROLL and the game continues to Stage 3.

Stage 3:
1. In Stage 3, the Finalist will be given the choice of keeping the BANKROLL accumulated in Stage 2

or rolling the die.
a. If the Finalist elects to keep the BANKROLL accumulated in Stage 2, the game ends.
b. If the Finalist elects to continue play, the Finalist will roll the die.
c. If the die comes to a rest with the 2X or 5X JAMES BOND Multiplier face up, the prize

amount won in Stage 2 is multiplied by that amount and the game ends.
d. If the die comes to rest with the VILLAIN face up, the Finalist loses one-half of his or her

accumulated BANKROLL and the game ends.

ROUND 3: Diamonds are Forever

Diamonds are Forever will be played using a wheel divided into twenty-four (24) slices of equal size.

Prizes range from $500 to $50,000.

Twelve (12) of the slices contain the dollar amount of $500. 6. Two (2) of the slices contain the word “VILLAIN.”

The wheel will always start resting on a DIAMOND slice.

Each spin of the wheel must be in a clockwise direction and must complete one (1) full revolution in order to be considered an eligible spin. Should the wheel fail to complete one (1) entire revolution, the Finalist may spin the wheel exactly one (1) more time. If on the second attempt, the wheel does not make a complete rotation, the Finalist will win $500 for that spin.

Should there be a mechanical failure or other such occurrence that renders the wheel inoperable for any reason, play will move to manual method of play using sealed security envelopes of identical outward appearance. The odds of obtaining the respective outcomes through the use of envelopes shall be the same as those odds resulting from the use of a properly functioning wheel.

EVENT #2: Tournament

The Tournament will take place during the trip period and will be held on a separate day from the Stage Show.

The minimum prize awarded in the Tournament will be $1,000 and the maximum prize will be up to $100,000.

Each Finalist will participate in the Tournament.

The Tournament consists of two (2) separate Rounds (each a "ROUND”): an initial “Points Round,” followed by a multiplier ball selection round (“Multiplier Round”) as follows:

ROUND 1: Points Round

Each Finalist will begin play with a base allocation of points, which will be identical for each Finalist.

The Finalist will participate in an event in which points are randomly subtracted from or added to the starting base allocation of points.

Each Finalist’s final score will be determined by the total amount of points remaining after, or accumulated during, play of the Points Round.

The time frame allotted for each Finalist to play the Points Round will be identical.

At the conclusion of the Points Round, Finalists will be ranked from highest to lowest according to the Finalists’ respective number of points remaining or accumulated.

The results will be announced, and the scores will be posted on a Leader’s Board.

The points, after play of the Points Round is complete, shall have no cash value and serve only as the point value toward the total rankings for the Points Round of the Tournament.

Any ties that result from play in the Points Round will result in the prize monies associated with the rankings involved in the ties being aggregated and divided evenly among the tied participants.

Prizes shall be awarded as follows:

Rank Prize
First Place $10,000
Second Place $7,500
Third Place $5,000
Fourth Place $2,500
Fifth Place and Below $1,000

Details of the method and rules of play of the Points Round shall be set forth more fully and mailed to each Finalist prior to the Contest.

ROUND 2: Multiplier Round

After the Finalists have completed the Points Round, one (1) lottery ball will be randomly selected from the pool of twenty (20) lottery balls through the operation of the lottery ball mixing machine.

The lottery ball mixing machine will contain twenty (20) lottery balls of identical shape, weight and size.

One (1) of the twenty lottery balls will have a “10X” multiplier designation printed on the ball, one (1) of the remaining nineteen (19) lottery balls will have a “5X” multiplier designation printed on the ball, and one (1) of the remaining nineteen (18) lottery balls will have a “2X” multiplier designation printed on the ball.

Each of the remaining seventeen (17) lottery balls will be blank.

If the one (1) ball randomly selected by the lottery ball mixing machine is the 10X, 5X or the 2X multiplier, all prize amounts won by the respective Finalists in the Points Round are multiplied as indicated below in the Prize Table:

Rank Prize 10X 5X 2X
First Place $10,000 $100,000 $50,000 $20,000
Second Place $7,500 $75,000 $37,500 $15,000
Third Place $5,000 $50,000 $25,000 $10,000
Fourth Place $2,500 $25,000 $12,500 $5,000
Fifth Place and Below $1,000 $10,000 $5,000 $2,000

If the ball selected by the lottery ball mixing machine is blank, the prize amount won by each Finalist in the Points Round remains unchanged.

At the conclusion of the Multiplier Round, each Finalist will be awarded the cash prize indicated in the Prize Table based on (i) the Finalist’s order of finish in the Points Round; and (ii) the one (1) ball selected in the Multiplier Round.

Additional Rules and Procedures:

All Games will be audited by an independent auditor.

Selected second-chance prize winners who are contacted and fail to provide all information requested by a participating Lottery (e.g., age verification, address verification, signed publicity/liability release and affidavit as to identity, etc.) in a timely fashion will forfeit prizes and an alternate second-chance prize winner may be selected.

Prizes are not for resale and are not transferable. Taxes are the sole responsibility of each Finalist.

Neither the Lottery, SG, nor other companies, including, but not limited to Danjaq, LLC and EON Productions Limited, Inc., directly associated with the Contest shall be responsible to entrants or to any other person for data entry errors resulting from or caused by the entering, keying or mis-keying of the required ticket information by entrants.

Employees of the Lottery, SG or other companies associated with the Contest, as well as their immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such employee, are not eligible to participate in the Contest.

All decisions regarding technical difficulties, mechanical failures, or human errors, including but not limited to the premature reveal of any Game material or elements, the malfunction of any piece of stage equipment or electronics or the failure of any audio equipment, in connection with the Contest will be determined by SG in its sole discretion and shall be final and binding on all Finalists.

SG reserves the right to change, add to, delete from, modify or amend these procedures at any time at its sole discretion.

Odds of being selected as a Finalist vary by participating Lottery depending upon the number of eligible entries received and the number of Finalists prizes available.

The payment of cash prizes to Finalists during the Game is the sole responsibility of SG, and the payment of all such cash prizes is underwritten by third-parties. Cash prizes are not considered won by a Finalist, and are not payable unless and until the third-party underwriter of such cash prizes, SG’s Drawing Manager and the independent Game auditor certify that the Game has been conducted appropriately and in accordance, in all material respects with the Game Mechanics and Security Procedures, that a Finalist has validly won the cash prize pursuant to the Game Mechanics and Security Procedures and is entitled to receive the cash prize, and the third-party underwriter of such cash prize has accepted the obligation to pay the cash prize to the winning Finalist. Participating Lotteries shall have no liability for any cash prizes awarded in the Game.
