Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Indianapolis with the Hoosier Lottery
INDIANAPOLIS (March 12, 2014) - The citizens of Indianapolis are invited to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with the Hoosier Lottery at two traditional Indianapolis St. Patrick's Day events, the Greening of the Canal and the Indianapolis St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival.
Friday, March 14 - 18th Annual Hoosier Lottery Greening of the Canal
WHAT: Hoosier Lottery Executive Director Sarah Taylor will welcome special guests Gov. Mike Pence and 2014 Irish Citizen of the Year Tom O'Brien for the 18th annual Greening of the Canal.
WHERE : Canal Walk, East of Ohio and West Streets, by fire station
WHEN: Friday, March 14
5 p.m. Music by Eunan McIntyre followed by the Indianapolis "500" Gordon Pipers
5:35 p.m. Remarks by Sarah Taylor, Irish Citizen of Year Tom O'Brien and Indiana Governor Mike Pence
5:45 p.m. 18th Annual Greening of the Canal by Sarah Taylor; Tom O'Brien and Governor Pence
Hoosier Millionaire Host Tony Lamont will emcee the event which will feature several free raffles and free St. Patrick's Day necklaces and hats.
Parking is available for live trucks on the south side of Ohio by the fire station.
Hoosier Lottery officials are available to meet with the media immediately before and after the event to talk about this long-standing Indianapolis custom, how Hoosier Lottery profits benefit Hoosiers as well as the big jackpots up for grabs in Indiana this St. Patrick's Day weekend.

Monday, March 17 - 34th Annual Indianapolis St. Patrick's Day Parade
WHAT: The celebration continues Monday, March 17 with the Annual Indianapolis St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival which features live Irish music, raffle drawings and a chance to meet Hoosier Millionaire Hosts Tony Lamont and Barbara Hobbs!

10 a.m . Enjoy free coffee and donuts courtesy of Village Pantry in the festival area, while supplies last
10 a.m. U2 tribute band, Elevation performs on the Hoosier Lottery Imagine That Stage
11 a.m. Parade starts!
Noon Highland Reign performs on the Hoosier Lottery Imagine That Stage
Both events are in conjunction with the Indy Sports Foundation.
