$1 Million Powerball Prize Claimed by Region Man

Kenneteh ScobeyINDIANAPOLIS – Kenneth Scobey of Hebron, Ind. is the Hoosier Lottery's newest millionaire. Scobey's quick pick ticket matched five of the white balls in last Saturday night's Powerball draw. That would normally be a $200,000 win, but since Scobey purchased Power Play, he is now a million dollar man.
Scobey, a loyal Lottery patron, stops at Family Express at 298 W US Hwy 6 in Valparaiso each and every day and faithfully buys a Powerball ticket on nights of the draw.
"I've been playing for years," said Scobey. "It's about time I won!"
At first, the Porter County resident thought he won $500 after a local retailer printed off the winning numbers for him from the Saturday, April 17 draw.
"I told my neighbor I won five hundred dollars," said Scobey. "Once I realized I made a mistake, I went back and told him. He just shook his head."

Tonight's Powerball jackpot is $252 million.
Scobey plans to invest his most recent $1 million winnings, and already has his ticket for tonight's draw.
Players should always sign the back of their tickets. Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim a Hoosier Lottery draw game prize. The Hoosier Lottery reminds all players to play responsibly.
