He appreciates how Hoosier Lottery contributes funds every year to the Teachers’ Retirement Fund as well as local police and firefighter pensions. He would know: he has been retired since 2015 after 35 years as an Evansville firefighter!
Q: How long were you a firefighter?
A: “Thirty-five years total, including the last thirty-one as a captain. All in Evansville.”
Q: Did you know that the Hoosier Lottery contributed to local firefighter pensions?
A: “Yes I did. In fact, it’s something I make a point to tell people. It’s a positive thing in Indiana.”
Q: Do you play any Hoosier Lottery games?
A: “Yes. I play Mega Millions and Powerball.”
Q: What does it mean to you to be a Hoosier?
A: “To me, it means lending a helping hand when people need it.”
