Winner Stories
For many years, David Hall built locomotives for Progress Rail in Muncie. David looks back fondly at his career and what he accomplished. Now retired, he helps care for his grandchildren and likes to play the Hoosier Lottery for a little fun.
David likes to play new games, so when the new MONOPOLY Scratch-off came out in early January, it was on David’s radar. He purchased a few $2 MONOPOLY Scratch-offs and took them home to play. After scratching one of his tickets, he thought he might have won the $15,000 top prize but wasn’t sure. He hollered for his wife, showed her the ticket and asked, “What do you think?”
David’s wife couldn’t believe what she saw and was elated about the win. David was a bit more skeptical and reserved until he arrived at the Hoosier Lottery office in Indianapolis to claim his prize. Once his claim was successfully processed, David joined his wife in her excitement and joy.
To celebrate, David and his wife plan to feast on their favorite indulgence—Chester’s Fried Chicken. David mentioned that his generous wife might already have some ideas on what to do with the rest of the prize money, but nothing has been determined yet.
