Bob Kuhlman was born and raised in Evansville. He even attended the University of Evansville. Bob owned a grocery store for more than 40 years there. After selling his grocery business, Bob has become involved with philanthropy. He currently serves on the board for a local non-profit that supports nature and provides a bird sanctuary.
Bob also stays busy by playing Hoosier Lottery Draw games such as Powerball®, Mega Millions® and Hoosier Lotto. On the morning that he won, Bob saw his Powerball ticket on his dresser and checked the numbers. Shocked to see how many numbers he matched, he quickly researched how much he had won and was thrilled to learn he won $1,000,000!
When Bob returned to the Thorton’s where he purchased the ticket, the clerk he usually sees touched his hand and exclaimed, “I’ve never touched a millionaire before!”
Bob’s plans for the prize money include taking his friend who joined him to claim his prize at the Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis to a nice lunch and putting the rest in the bank.
